Doctor, Doctor

I spent the entire morning yesterday at the doctor. Saw a pulmonary sleep specialist and ran all sorts of tests. Results to follow.

Spent this morning running Middle Schooler to his routine doctor visit.

It started doing this on the way home and hasn't stopped yet!

The kids are so bummed - they don't even want to go out and play in it!

Days 4-7

Sorry for the combo of days. The week has gotten away from me and I haven't (gasp) had my camera out much. We haven't been doing much that is noteworthy, just a lot of running around with no schedules to keep and enjoying that. Some highlights:

• Sleepovers
• Baking Cookies
• Watching Movies
• Trips to the Library
• Crafting
• Some spring cleaning
• Hoping to take in a movie tomorrow

Okay, today we've:

• Washed, Dried, Folded and put away 6 8 loads of laundry (have 4-5 2-3 more to go)


• Did our deep cleaning, including the craft mess in the basement


• Got dinner in the oven (Leg of Lamb, new potatoes and veggies)


• Picked up new contact lenses


• Took teenager to bowling and home (remember he lost driving privileges)


• Ironed all of our clothes for tomorrow

To Do Still:

• Prepare Caesar Salad DONE


• Prep and assemble Fruit Kabobs DONE


• Stay up late to play Easter Bunny ACTUALLY LEAVING THIS TO DH

SPRING BREAK - DAY 1

So far we've:

Stocked up on groceries

Exchanged dh's pants at Kohl's (again)

Hung Laundry to Dry

Got a pedicure and my nails done

Colored Easter Eggs

Teenager lost driving privilige for backing into dh's truck!

Okay, so my dh and I keep having this 'discussion' about where the TV remote (for our Master Bedroom) should be kept. I can never find it when I'm already in bed and want to turn the TV off. We had been discussing this for some time when Murphy's Law butt in and all of a sudden the remote stopped working properly. Soooooooooooooo, I asked dh to buy a new universal remote because the other one was just getting too frustrating to use.

I keep doing things to encourage Spring to arrive. I think it may be working although we have snow in the forecast, I'm hopeful it won't accumulate. Today it's raining and most of the snow is melting.

I got scolded yesterday by my sister for having a 'Winter' flag displayed, and told to take it down at once. I looked at her in that funny way you look at people when you think they've been hitting the 'sauce'.

Okay, I'm willing to give her the 'corncob' pipe and the top hat, but who ever heard of a snowman with a red beard, wearing green and standing under a rainbow...............in Chicago???

5. that my kids are independent and can get ready on their own
6. a good cup of coffee (okay so what if I love this EVERY day?)
7. comfy pajamas (but they MUST be cute)
8. waking up early & having some me time
9. my oldest who watched the Oscars and dished with me
10. finding money in the dryer
11. we just woke to 3.5 MORE inches of snow!

Friday Funny

Sometimes my dh and I enjoy breakfast together on Friday mornings. It's always nice to reconnect and have a real conversation about life.

This morning he starts telling me about this 'great deal' he got on skylights and how he EVEN gets to make payments on them for the next 12 months. (Those of you who know my dh and the long list of projects he has for our house KNOW my eyes are rolling by now). So after I entertained him by asking all the where, what, and whens about his newly devised project, I quickly changed the subject by saying........

You know, I bet if you went to the jewelry store right now you could buy something equally as expensive that would involve LESS work, MORE return on your money, make your WIFE happy, AND still get the 12 month payment plan.

He was NOT amused.

I've decided to post 1x per week about something during the week that strikes my 'fancy'. If you don't see a Friday Funny, either nothing humorous is happening in my life or that nasty old age fog has crept in again and stole my last functioning brain cells.

Okay, this weeks' funny:

'Bath In a Day' company truck (you know those companies who install a complete tub/shower/tile surround in ONE day?) parked in my neighbor's driveway.

For FOUR days now. Must be one heck of a bathroom!?!

Okay, got this idea from a friend (Thanks Tara) and decided to give it a whirl. My Diva had trouble sleeping on the socks (sigh) -- she also has trouble keeping her eyes open for a flash LOL.

This is her right at bedtime last night.
